DES MOINES DISORDER
“Fields of Opportunity” pleats of gold leaf
and khaki too, “hell yes!” potholes,
glass boot filled with maltodextrin,
and a bronze spider focus group
near the otherwise locust-ish thruway –
adjacent insured floodplain.
Hogpiss winter – the jitters,
never any traffic or reunions.
March the 10th, 10 dolors,
cashless Tuesday pre-Easter itch.
I predict the inmost debates of
10s of compulsions today –
As always, still sleeting,
Rebehave for the next 20,
counting boss’s weather, my disease.
Shoulder March’s sodden knitting
as an inculcation of cure.
VERITAS, FIDES, DETENCIONE
the pope the gall
to beg for David’s
the oldest man that has ever been forces a pamphlet
into my backpack filled with pamphlets
for reason is but losing
back and babble
